Being from a family of creatives whose motto was to produce not to consume was etched into Kyle from a very early age and being educated at home gave him many opportunities to work hard at his own creative pursuits.
In the early years, information was hard to find, there was no online content and only a few books and videos, so it was a lot of trial and error in the knife shop. Kyle is passionate to teach makers his more than fourteen years of experience.
“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” We hope we can inspire you on your maker’s journey.

It would have been nice to actually see the finished product
should show what the original looks like
Would have been cool to actually see the finished project
Can we see what it looks like. That would be pretty awesome to see. Just sayin. Love the content nonetheless!
This is genuinely one of the most beautiful knives I've ever seen and I've been collecting knives for years
The pure joy on his face every time he does something for his work 👍
what material is the handle made of?
For someone who knows nothing about it, what's wrong with using a MIG welder of this?
I’m guessing it fucks up the heat treatment, if done after.
Cool video. But didn't see the knife bro
32:18 that's okay though you always explain things you're doing well you should go into detail occasionally on here for simple things. Probably a lot of younger guys or folks getting into shop work that need to be shown simple things the easy way to keep things running smooth.
Good thing we got to see a clear pic of finished product. Oh wait....🤔
10:00 man just dab some adhesive that's got flex like sticky tack on the back of that sand paper that drill bit rig and shorten that PVC length a little.
Lmaoooo, dad strats go crazy. JB weld and MIG 😂😂
😂😂😂 Leave it to Pops to do something crazy af lol, hey if it works, it works! 😅
Ok
👍👍
You can wear that hat under that respirator bro
I was holding my breathe while you were grinding that fuller. If I'd been grinding it, hours. I would of passed out multiple times and messed it up twenty times
4:00 **Sanity break**
Not only is he a master knife maker, he is entertaining as well...
Daaaaaaaaamn! I thought coffee was only good for drinking and staining paper for pirate maps!
hell of a work but it shouldnt bend that way, looked too floppy
That is a masterpiece! A true piece of art!
You do wonderful work. The amount of thought and skill you put into every project is amazing! All the best.
Kyle’s grocer when he buys mass amounts of fruit and soda bottles - “Working on a new blade?”
I dream to get one of you piece of art one day
Please don't use a drill chuck to hold end mills when going across a surface like that, it could come loose and wreck the part or worse, wreck you. Use a collet.
The level of care and attention to detail is incredible! Extremely impressive!
Nice work , don’t hold endmills in drill chucks
Kyle have you went anywhere or done anything else in the last 47 days? 😅
Man gaurd fit up is a nightmare especially when you try and hold yourself to royer standards 😅 I’ve got a box of scrapped gaurds.
Hi cant you do a crazy zombie sword. Both nice looking and super murder looking 😊
In all of the knives and swords you've made... This takedown bowie is my all time favt... It's just so beautiful even in front of all your mosaic Damascus patterns
Not trying to be overly critical but don’t ever run a end mill in a drill chuck. They won’t be able to take the sideways load and can loosen and eat the work piece. It would be a real shame after 40 days of work to have an avoidable boo boo and ruin all the hard work
목소리도 좋고 영상도 좋아요. 자세히도 설명해주고 흥미롭게 보고있습니다
Talking too much makes you sick and disgusting🖕🖕🖕🖕
wow 72 dollars an hour
My friends dad was a machinist. My friend has a large industrial surface grinder for sale. We should connect if you're still interested in a surface grinder.
TBH I'm not a fan of such food waste. I would make sure I can get the pieces and use them.
First off, been loving watching your progression to artistry for years. Amazing, amazing work! Not sure if it'd be of interest to you to put that milling machine to work on a modification for your vice. Making sets of "soft teeth" from aluminum, brass or high density plastic/nylon might help provide another method to avoid marring while clamping near finished materials.
I wonder if you can make the blade better by heat treating it
Friendly tip. Get some collets to hold your end mills. You should never run end mills in a drill chuck. Beautiful work as always Kyle!
How did the guard become magnetic? Was it in a magnetic field when you normalized it?
Pretty, but how well does it cut??
Someone would pay huge for this knife. I hope you keep it though and give to your son. (if you have one).. You are a true artist. No doubt.
that's what she said
Fruit salad
How many hours does it take to make this pattern start to finish?
I am on the edge of my seat.
I absolutely love the knife and would love to have it sitting on the shelf. But spending 10k for a knife that sits on the shelf, idk. It would be better if he would not let everyone see how it’s made. Show less and your mind would wonder. But I cannot see spending 10k on a knife I can’t use. Now if I was so rich and I could buy the knife and use it as a edc. Now that would be worth the 10k. It like having the best and greatest, you name the item. Shoes, gun, car, bike, knife, watch anything you love. I want to use the item. Maybe one day instead of buying another Rolex, I will get a 10k knife and carry it everyday. lol
Kyle, I'd say you're having way too much fun testing that blade, but really,.... is there such a thing? Lol.
